Doing a bit of interior cleaning / polishing & I noticed that the veneer around the front frame of the vanity unit top cupboard was coming away slightly.
Tapping various areas of the veneer indicated that there were various places where this had happened by a hollow clicking noise.
Out came the domestic iron which was put on a hot setting.
Using an old handkerchief to protect the wood I have pressed the veneer back with the hot iron which melts the glue and on cooling reseats the veneer.

Hi the best tool is the old fashioned electric iron with the chromed steel base, the newer ones with ali bases leave marks, unless you do as Steve did. If there's not enough glue, shave a very thin bit off a hot melt gluestick and put it behind the veneer.
