Yes mate i did but he didnt have one but it seems neither did anyone else as i said in my post i cant believe that nobody has got one and only one in the manufactures in the states and now they dont have one cos its on its way to me i hope !,but then this w/end i here of somebody with a blown turbo and they cant get one replaced till april
makes me wonder what would happen if i was touring abroad

I guess that you are going to get the old alternator refurbished and keep it wrapped up in cotton wool as a spare then Ron?

the alternator arrived and they came to fit it on weds arrived at 8 and with a bit of help from me and my workmate we helped the auto elec fit it but we couldnt see if anything worked because the fuel system is dismantled when i told the cummins fella that we had helped the auto elec to fit it he said they (cummins)have to fit them on there own(respect)any way i the rang cummins to say the alternator was on and they sent the fitter down to fit the part to the fuel system but guess what it wasnt that part i had to have a new fuel pump (why did i know that was allways going to happen )so he fitted the new pump and hey presto it started the warning lights all went out he put the computer on it and it showed no faults so i payed cummins gave him a drink for himself and at 5 oclock drove it back to the storage yard and parked it up then tried ringing a couple of cc sites to test it for the w/end and they were full so i havnt been for a run yet i have to say that cummins were very helpfull and very polite and gave me good service , the bill so far

It's the £66 per hour travelling that put me off calling Cummins out to investigate the problems we've been having. Thank goodness for the RAC Arrival scheme which we've used 3 times now,

Yes doug i know what you mean i had to make the decision on the spur of the moment with all the chaos that was going on i think it cost me about £500 just for them to tell me what was wrong but hey worse things happen

You've got my sympathy. Parts for Monacos seem to have jumped as well. I guess Monaco aren't buying as many components as they used to so are costing more.

Use the rv more i think im one of the more frequent rv users doing about approx 6o,000 mls in the last 6-7 yrs i would probably done more than that if it wasnt that e/time i ring a cc site i cant get in cos there full chester ,broadway ,moreton in the marsh are all booked solid at the moment anyway thats all gone out the window cos ive just been out to the rv to put some fuel gas water etc in and the brakes are stuck on so ill have to find somebody to come out and free them.Ive never had so many things playing up this winter has certainly caused some problems the next time s/body says to me its allright you rvers with plenty of money might just get a mouthfull
